Trummel Falls -- Switzerland

Hi Everyone,
We were a little bummed that it was raining and overcast today so our host at our chalet sent us down the mountain to Trummel Falls (Awesome falls inside of the mountain). We started our hike by hiking down to Glimmerwald and taking the cable car down to some town that started with a S. We then hiked to Lautenbrennan (sp) - nice hike with lots of falls along the way. We had some authentic Switzerland food at the Hotel Oberland (Fondue and Rotschi) and watched some fossball (soccer) - Adam has taken a strong interest in the sport. We did our hike in reverse and got back to the chalet in time to visit with others staying there. Drank wine and ate some awesome pesto and bread. Yum!! We wish we purchased more in Vernazza and brought it home with us. Need to get to bed. Have an early train to Paris.

Brynn feeding the cows!!

Hey guys! Brynn here! Well today we were in Switzerland and it was so much fun!!! First we had breakfast at the chalet fontana. There was jam and bread and cereal that I dont even know how to pronounce. We rushed to pack our bags after breakfast so we could get a head start on hiking. We started by taking the funnicle a ways up the mountian, than we hiked about half way to Schiltorn, but decided that we wanted to take the Northface trail. This trail was lined by farms. Some of them sold food and drinks along the way. We walked through the hills while on the trail, there were so many cows!!! At the first farm we went to, Adam and I fed some of them with bread that one of the farmers gave us. While we were eating, all the cows came in to get milked, making the farm just about surrounded by cows. (and cow patties) We walked down the rest of the trail to Mürren and grabbed our bags. (We left them there while we went hiking) We walked from there to the tram and headed to Interlaken. There we hopped on another train to Basel. We got off and headed for what we thought was the right direction. It ended up that the YMCA hostel was right next to that train station. What an adventure. :p Now I'm typing this blog at the hostel and I am ready to go to bed. :D
