Day 3:
Still tired from the jetlag (and walking a lot) but getting a little better each day. The feeling was fantastic though, new country, new people, and new tastes as well (especially the beer). Brynn hasn't had any beer, she doesn't seems to care for it. She has german blood in her so it will happen soon enough. First impression of Germany? There are a lot of big churches. They churches are pretty though, and huge. People talk about how Germans drink beer all the time, but from what I can tell they drink just as much coffee as they drink beer! I must have sat down and at three cafes today, and had a coffee at each one; and that's not even counting the two coffee's I had that morning. I'm going to end up remembering Germany more for it's coffee then it's beer.

I had a crepe today, had to eat it while running to catch the train. One of the things I love the most about Europe inso far is how you can get anywhere by train. If you want to go to a different country, all you have to do is hop on a train.

I also bought "The Lord of the Flies", and it only cost 1 €. At the rate I've been reading my books, more are probably to come. Besides buying my first book in Europe, I also had my first beer. I've never really been a fan of beer, but the beer here is fantastic. I think Dad got a bit drunk tonight, but it's all good cause he loosens up a bit when he's had a beer. We learned a new word in German today too, "streicheln". It means " to pet", there's a story behind it, but that's for another time.

We saw many things today, the Beethoven house, a march against global warming, the Rhine, and other things. Every day is like a brand new adventure here in Germany, filled with history, coffee, and of course, some beer.
